The Residency

The fully funded Art´n Fiber® residency covers a short term stay of three weeks and focuses on international exchange and cooperation.
The grant is addressed to the professional textile/fiber artists and those with equally active artistic commitment.The targeted group is textile/fiber artists living in Europe outside Sweden.
The residency was established in 2022 on the initiative of textile/fiber artist Katriina Flensburg and it is run in close cooperation with and support from the Region Uppsala and Uppsala Municipality/City. The location of the residency is the Quilt Academy of Sweden facilities.
Except for the funded stay a limited number of weeks is made available for bookings by individual artists, artist couples, or colleagues in search of a shorter period studio space or a refreshing creative getaway for projects within the field of fiber art.
